Welcome! Spring is here and there's a new Blog on The Faraway Tree website!
Sharing a bit about me, I am a mum, mini-may is 6 years old and I run The Faraway Tree with my very helpful (okay, super helpful, couldn't do without) husband. We run the business together and it's been a steep learning curve since our launch in Oct 2009. We have had some tears, sleepless nights, much laughter and much stealing of stock by mini-may!
In short, it's starting to be the beginning of a great journey!. In this blog, my hope is to enlighten you all, about the traditional wooden toys we stock and our commitment to providing you with safe, robust and imaginative product ranges for children (at the same time caring for the planet we live in - so lots about where we source our ranges from).
We will be posting updates, product information, notes, snippets of this and that and generally whatever springs to mind. Oh and of course we promise to tell you about any special promotions running! Our aim is for a child to receive a quality gift, play with it and create a lasting memory. That's all. So, please check in with us frequently to hear our news!
