We know that security is your top concern when buying online. The Faraway Tree always try to protect your personal privacy and take customer security very seriously.
The fastest way to pay for your order is by credit/debit card, we accept all major credit cards. We utilise Sage Pay (Protx) as our payment service provider (PSP) and it offers a secure payment gateway for online credit and debit card processing. By handling our payments in this secure manner ensures no persons at farawaytree.co.uk ever view your card details. If you decide to cancel your order or we cannot fulfil an order, a full refund will be issued to your card via a second Sage Pay transaction.
When you purchase an item from our online store, you will enter your personal details, billing and shipping address, contact details , telephone number and email address through our secure server. Your card details will then be authorised by Sage Pay. Your personal card details are securely held by Sage Pay and at no stage will your card details ever be divulged to us. On successful completion of the transaction you will automatically be sent a confirmation email.
Your details will not be passed on to third parties. Please feel free to visit www.sagepay.com for your peace of mind.
You can use most UK-based credit or debit cards. We accept Delta, Visa, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro, Electron and Solo. However you decide to pay, the price of your order stays the same. So simply choose whichever is most convenient for you. We also accept most major international credit cards.

Gift wrapping
We can gift wrap your purchase and send it to a different delivery address. Giftwrapping is an additional £2.50 per item to be wrapped.

Returns
What if I want to return something I buy online?
Our no quibble returns policy means that you can return the item to us within 14 days and we´ll happily give a full refund of the item value or exchange it for something more suitable. This does not affect your statutory rights.
You can send the item back along with the returns note enclosed with your order. Simply email us and we will give you the full return address, fill in the returns note, and return it by post. Please obtain a free proof of posting from your Post Office as it will help us trace any missing items. If the item is not faulty it needs to be returned in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We are unable to refund postage on a non-faulty item.

Sales and sale prices
Sale prices will be compared with the price at which goods were previously sold by The Faraway Tree over a 28-day period. Any other prices charged in between the previous and latest sale price will not necessarily be shown.
Our current prices and details are a valid until 1st July 2010. Products are described as accurately as possible but measurements, colours and materials may occasionally vary from those illustrated.

The Faraway Tree Gift Voucher terms and conditions
Gift vouchers are available in denominations of £1, £5 and £10.
Any promotional discounts we offer from time to time are not eligible on gift vouchers.
